Pole Star TRM was founded by Geoff Bain a former Airline Captain with over 50 years aviation experience, 16,500 flying hours, operating 32 aircraft types worldwide. 

Geoff retired from active flying duties taking up Aviation Management posts in Quality Assurance and Crew Resource Management ( CRM ) Training and Examining, working as a freelance Instructor with NHV Helicopters .

Still passionate about aviation, he is also involved in Remotely Piloted Air Systems (RPAS) Management / Training and decided to share a lifetime of practical knowledge and experience by creating Pole Star TRM (Team Resource Management).Collaborating with leading RPAS industry operator HELIGUY they have developed the first TQUAL UK Level 5 Operations Managers Course.

Working very closely with Aberdeen University Department of Applied Psychology   and Axiom   Human Factors  the TRM concept has been gaining recognition from many aviation operators as the next logical development of CRM and has equally validity in all commercial and industrial environments.

Geoff has an Award Level 3 in Adult Teaching and Learning.
